How to measure L-shaped desks?

To measure your L-Shaped desk, first break the desk down into two segments: the “main desk” and the “return desk”. While the height should be the same for both desks, the width and depth may vary on your main and return desks. The depth is the measure from front to back of the desk while the width measures from the L side of the desk to the right. Always remember to measure twice and check your work!

What is the return on an L-shaped desk?

The “return” is the wing portion of an L-shaped desk, named so because of the connection to manual typewriters (carriage return). Left and right sides are determined by the perspective of the person sitting at the main desk at both an L- or U-shaped desk. Our L-shaped and U-Shaped desks are reversible meaning you can put the return on the Left or Right side.
